I’m a make-up artist and hate shelling out £20 on a Beauty Blender - I’ve found some brilliant dupes for just £1.50 each | The Irish Sun

THEY'RE meant to be one of the best sponges in the industry.

But Beauty Blenders aren't cheap - costing £17 each.

And one make-up artist is so sick of shelling out nearly £20 for a sponge that she decided to research some cheaper dupes.

"I normally use Real Techniques or Beauty Blenders but I’m kind of over paying ridiculous money for a sponge," Xanthe Haden said in video on her TikTok page.

"A sponge is a sponge. So I did some research on TikTok and I came across this set right here."

She then held up a pack of five blenders, in yellow, blue, red, purple and green, which she bought from Amazon.

"There’s like 70,000 reviews of these and every single review is glowing," Xanthe continued.

"I have to say - these are very very squishy, very similar in texture and feel exactly the same as a beauty blender.

"I got a pack of five and they’re in such cute colours as well."

The five-pack costs just £7.59 - meaning that each sponge costs around £1.50.

"The closest thing to a beauty blender, wow," Xanthe captioned her video.

Ahead of a wedding in the blistering heat at the weekend, she also stocked up on powder puffs, to use when she does make-up for the bridal party and also to give them as gifts.

"It’s going to be boiling so I’m going to give the bridesmaids and the bride one of these each to have with them throughout the day," she said.

"I’m going to load it up with powder for them."

The powder puffs she was referring to come in a bag of 12 for just £4.99.
